I want: Unravelling Calendar

As the New Year approaches, the top of my christmas list is this unique unravelling calendar (hint hint). Pull the yarn each day to set the current date, and watch as the pile of yarn builds up throughout the year.  Definitely a conversation piece, and fun as well!

Just call me Mrs.!

I didi it!  I am now officially a married woman.  The wedding planning took up most of my time this year, but it was well worth it.  The day turned out beautifully, and it was so wonderful to be surrounded by our close friends and family!

Now… onto all of those crafty projects that got pushed to the side!

Jenny Packham

The countdown to my forthcoming nuptuals on October 6th is officially on its way!  I am so excited to marry the man of my dreams, however the planning process has been extremely draining.  As we hit the homestrech, I would like to take a moment to *gush* about my dress.  No… I’m not going to show you guys what it looks like, but it was designed by British sweetheart, Jenny Packham.  While hunting for my dress, I knew that I wasen’t a traditional bride and was worried that I woulden’t find something to suit my taste. A friend recommended Jenny Packham to me and upon seeing her collections, I knew it was what I was looking for.  Vintage inspired with gorgeous materials and beading, her dresses scream classic divinity.  Here is a glimpse some of my favorite looks:

Even More Lego Letterpress!

A while back I posted on some stunning prints done by Physical Fiction, combining Lego with letterpress to produce some unique prints.  They have returned with some great new works. Each piece can be purchased from their site, and are quite reasonably priced between $10 – $50.

Christmas Wishlist: Type

Every year, I try to be as organized as possible with my Christmas gift list.  This year is no exception, with a long list of names of some very special people!  I have been slowly searching online for some gift ideas, and thought I would share some with you to hopefully help you with your list.  Here are a few ideas for those type lovers out there:

The iPad Underwood USB Typewriter has me drooling!  Simply plug in your iPad, and type away.  Each typewriter can be used without the iPad, simply unplug and roll in some paper!  Available at Anthropologie for $798

Just My Type by Simon Garfield is a wonderful and revealing book about type and it’s history.  If you ever wondered what your favorite font says about you, then this book will delve into that.  Exploring the world we live in, and the fonts that surround us, the book is entertaining as well as informative. Available at all major book stores, including Chapters for $32.

For all of those that enjoy snail mail (myself included!) this is a fun set of Christmas stamps, that will make anyone receiving them smile.  The vintage imagery is simple and fun.  There is a selection of 10 stamps, each for $5.00 at Present & Correct.

Wish List: Pantone Christmas Balls

It is no secret that I love Pantone products.  The simple design, with key Pantone colours makes me smile.  Italian design firm Seletti recently released these wonderful Pantone christmas balls.  I am hoping to be decorating my tree with some of these this year, but I am having a VERY difficult time tracking them down!  If anyone can find a stockist, please share!
